We released a new report last week, the Housekeeping Report. This lets you print out a summary of all arrivals and departures over a specified date range:
You'll find it under Reports > Housekeeping:
It is not as pretty as we'd like, but so many people were asking for this, we decided just to release it as it is and smarten it up later. Good is (sometimes) better than best. Feedback and suggestions most welcome, as ever.

Improved workflow when accessing a booking from the guest record
We no longer send you to the calendar screen after you create or edit a booking from the guest record. We send you back to the guest record instead.
The calendar screen takes a few seconds to load, so this change allows you to quickly edit and save bookings without having to go via the calendar screen at all.
If you go Guests on the menu and search for a guest, when you open the guest record you see their booking history:
If you open a booking (by clicking 'details') or create a new booking (by clicking 'New booking'), we'll now return you back here once you save the booking. That makes a lot more sense than booting you off to the calendar screen like we did before.
Thanks to Kevin at 227 Rentals for taking the trouble to suggest this simple change.

Three major new features released this morning:
(During this release, we unexpectedly had to take the live server offline for about 10minutes at around 0900 GMT, sorry about that.)
1. Customisable booking widget.
Under Settings > Online Bookings you'll see two new options:
Customise size and basic appearance takes you to a screen where you generate code for a widget with custom parameters:
You can set:

1. Customisable booking widget.
Under Settings > Online Bookings you'll see two new options:
Customise size and basic appearance takes you to a screen where you generate code for a widget with custom parameters:
You can set:
- Width
- Height
- Show calendar or simple date picker
- Show room/extra images and/or notes (Image? What image? Images are new also, see below.)
- Tags
- Limit to some rooms only
You can use this to generate several widgets (for example, you could have one widget showing just your B&B rooms; and another widget on a different page of your site showing just your rental units)
Edit CSS lets you use your own CSS file to control the colours and layout of the widget. This gives you complete control over the look-and-feel of the widget, so you can make it blend seamlessly with your existing website ... but is definitely a feature for geeks only! (If you don't know what CSS is, and would like to learn, try this tutorial.)
2. Room and extra images
Under the accommodation screen, you'll see a new option to upload an image for each room:
Upload an image, then check the "Room Image" checkbox under Settings > Online Bookings > Customise size and basic appearance. The image will then appear in your booking widget.
Same with extras, each extra can now also have an image:
3. Tags
You can also now tag each booking. You can either do this using the widget (so each booking coming from a particular widget can have a particular tag); or do it manually on the booking details screen:
Tags also now appear in your export file, so you can analyse bookings based on tags that you apply to each booking.
Enjoy!
